1. Purpose and scope
These Terms and Conditions of Sale apply to goods supplied by Sahara Workwear Limited ("Sahara", "we", "us"), including personalised garments, standard garments sourced from suppliers, business orders, pricing, payment, delivery and customer artwork. They should be read alongside our Returns, Refunds and Exchanges Policy, which explains cancellation, returns, refunds and exchanges. Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or replaces any mandatory rights available under Irish law. Where a provision conflicts with a mandatory legal right, that right prevails.
2. Personalised garments and approved artwork
Where garments have been genuinely made to specification or clearly personalised, a change-of-mind cancellation or exchange is generally unavailable to the extent permitted by law. Customers should carefully check garment sizes, spelling, names, numbers, artwork placement and other details before giving written approval. Where Sahara accurately follows an approved customer specification, it will not ordinarily provide a free remake solely because the customer subsequently changes their preference or identifies an error originating in the approved instructions. This does not excuse errors introduced by Sahara, defective workmanship, or other breaches of statutory obligations. Requests for changes after approval or production commencement are considered individually, with any lawful additional charges agreed in advance. Please refer to the separate Personalisation Policy for the approval process.
3. Standard garments ordered from suppliers
Sahara may source standard garments to fulfil individual orders rather than hold them in stock. Supplier ordering, by itself, does not turn a standard garment into a bespoke or clearly personalised product and does not remove any consumer cancellation rights that otherwise apply.
4. Business purchases and large orders
Purchases made by a customer acting for purposes wholly or mainly within that customer’s trade, business, craft or profession do not automatically carry the consumer’s statutory change-of-mind cancellation rights. Unless expressly agreed in writing, Sahara does not offer a general business change-of-mind returns facility. For larger business orders, any agreed deposit, cancellation arrangements and allocation of committed supplier or production costs will be stated before acceptance. Following acceptance, Sahara may seek reasonable, evidenced and legally recoverable cancellation costs in accordance with the contract and applicable law; arbitrary penalties will not be imposed. Nothing in this section excludes obligations or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.
5. Price changes and accepted orders
Sahara Workwear Limited reserves the right to amend product prices without prior notice. Any changes will not affect orders already accepted at an agreed price. Any proposed price adjustment to an existing order will require the customer’s agreement before proceeding.
6. Changes and interpretation
These Terms may be updated from time to time. The terms relevant to an accepted order and any mandatory rights will be determined under applicable law; an update will not retrospectively remove accrued rights. If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining lawful provisions will continue to apply so far as possible.
7. Orders, payments and VAT
All product prices quoted by Sahara Workwear Limited are exclusive of Value Added Tax (VAT), unless expressly stated otherwise. VAT is charged at the applicable statutory rate, currently 23% for most adult clothing, workwear, uniforms and related products. Where a different VAT treatment is required by law, the appropriate rate will apply.
The applicable VAT amount, delivery charges and total amount payable will be clearly identified before the customer completes their purchase.
Payment is normally required when an order is placed through the website, using the payment methods available at checkout. An automatic order acknowledgement confirms receipt of the customer’s order but does not necessarily constitute formal acceptance. Orders remain subject to payment verification, product availability and, where applicable, confirmation of personalisation requirements.
Following receipt of an order, Sahara will review any outstanding payment, product availability and personalisation requirements before proceeding. If an order cannot be fulfilled as requested, the customer will be contacted and offered an appropriate alternative or a refund. Any proposed change to the order or additional charge will require the customer’s agreement before proceeding. An automatic order acknowledgement does not, by itself, confirm that stock or artwork requirements have been approved.
8. Delivery, collection and stock availability
Sahara Workwear Limited provides delivery throughout Ireland, together with a free collection service from our premises at 4 Village Gate Arcade, Main Street, Bray, County Wicklow.
Our standard nationwide delivery charge is €7.50, with free standard delivery available on orders exceeding €100 in value before VAT. Any applicable VAT on delivery will be calculated and displayed before checkout.
Orders for standard, unpersonalised garments are generally expected to be dispatched within 5 to 10 working days, subject to stock availability. Orders requiring embroidery, printing or other personalisation may take up to approximately 14 working days to dispatch following final artwork approval, depending on the nature and quantity of the order. These are estimated dispatch periods rather than guaranteed delivery dates. Any specific delivery arrangements agreed with the customer will be honoured in accordance with applicable law.
Although Sahara makes every reasonable effort to fulfil orders promptly, some products are obtained directly from suppliers and availability may change.
If an item becomes unavailable, is discontinued by a supplier, or is subject to an unexpected delay, we will contact the customer as soon as reasonably practicable to explain the situation and discuss the available options. These may include a suitable alternative, an agreed revised delivery date, or cancellation and an appropriate refund. No replacement product or additional charge will be introduced without the customer’s agreement.
Customers will be notified when their orders are dispatched or ready for collection, as applicable. Delivery obligations and customers’ statutory rights in cases of delay, non-delivery, loss or damage remain protected under Irish law.
9. Customer artwork permissions and governing law
Customers submitting logos, artwork, photographs, text, trademarks or other designs for embroidery, printing or personalisation must own the relevant rights or have obtained the necessary permission from the lawful rights holder.
By submitting such material, the customer confirms that Sahara Workwear Limited is authorised to reproduce, adapt and apply it for the purpose of fulfilling the customer’s order.
Sahara reserves the right to refuse artwork that appears to infringe intellectual property rights, is unlawful, or may expose the company to legal or reputational risk. Where reasonable grounds for concern arise, Sahara may request evidence of ownership or authorisation before proceeding.
Customers are responsible for the accuracy of information and permissions they provide. To the extent permitted by law, customers acting in the course of business may be required to reimburse Sahara for reasonable, legally recoverable losses arising directly from their unauthorised use of third-party intellectual property. Nothing in this provision removes Sahara’s own legal responsibilities or customers’ mandatory statutory rights.
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Ireland, without depriving consumers of any mandatory legal protections applicable to them.
